Air Force Aid Society (AFAS)
The Air Force Aid Society is the official charity of the Air Force. The Air Force Aid Society supports the Air Force mission by providing worldwide emergency assistance, sponsoring education assistance programs, and offering an array of base community enhancement programs that improve quality of life for Airmen & their families.
- Air Force active duty military and active duty spouse with Power of Attorney
- Retired Air Force
- Air National Guard and Air Force reserve personnel serving on active duty under Title 10, U.S code, and those who are on extended duty over 15 days and are away from their home station.
- Widow/Widower of Air Force Retiree
* Dependents applying for Air Force Aid must have a power of attorney or sponsor’s signature to be considered
Please access the following website www.afas.org and complete an application for Air Force Aid. If you have never used the system before, you will need to register as a new user.
After you have submitted your application online, you will need to call the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 302-677-6930 to schedule an appointment.
In addition to your application, there will be other documents that are required to support your case. When you call for your appointment, please make sure you ask what additional documents you will need to bring to your appointment.
